Welcome to ISAW

In February of 2008, a vision emerged to change the South African wine industry.  The vision was that through the celebration and appreciation of fine wine, we can simultaneously uplift and educate, while diminishing poverty and inequality. In short, ISAW advocates reducing poverty in Africa through the business of wine.

Since wine is certainly a non-traditional (and compelling) entry into addressing complex social issues, we invite you spend just a few minutes on our site to learn more about our approach, our initiatives, and our partners. 

There is also an opportunity to embark on your own personal discovery of wine, through joining our Cape Collections Wine Club. In doing so, you support winemakers and growers whose quality is matched by sound ethics and a commitment to improving the lives of South African wine workers. 

If you share in our vision, we'll teach you to Drink Well, as we collectively strive to Do Good.

*Cape Collections is operated by the International Society of Africans in Wine Inc., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the 501(c)(3) ISAW Foundation. All net proceeds from the club raise money for the ISAW Foundation.
